The PGS II is equipped with a 200 lumen LED flashlight that is activated when the grip safety is depressed, meaning the flashlight turns on automatically when the device is gripped.

The pepper gel included with the PGS II is manufactured by SABRE and is the same police-strength protection used by many law enforcement agencies. Pepper gel in this form is designed to virtually eliminate wind blowback with no in-air atomization, meaning it only affects the intended target or threat it directly contacts.

The pepper gel formulation is also designed to be safe for indoor use, as it is intended not to affect others in the immediate area.
