The Medieval bevor (bevors) is a component of medieval armor plate, the Gothic type, used as protection of the chin (neck and lower face) during the fighting. This type of bevor became popular towards the end of the 15th century. It is rigid, yet articulated at the neck, offering excellent protection and efficiency. Our Bevor is made in a central European style and dates from around 1480 to 1500. It is constructed from 16 gauge steel and is perfect for re-enactment.
